Science

Science College is fully committed to student achievement and looks forward to supporting you through your education at the Academy and ensuring you achieve examination results of which you can be proud.

Science College presents an opportunity for students to be taught in a state-of-the-art, ICT-rich department, by dedicated and talented teachers with some of the best facilities in the country.

We are continuously developing and individualising the curriculum to meet each student’s needs and maximise their achievement. BTEC, GCSE Science and Additional Science alongside Separate Sciences will be delivered at Key Stage 4. We also teach Astronomy and Electronics at GCSE. At Key Stage 5 the College will offer the International Baccalaureate, Physics, Chemistry and Biology A levels and the BTEC National Certificate.

Part of the science curriculum will be delivered via ICT and we are building and developing a VLE to complement this. Science Teachers are always looking to provide stimulating and innovating lessons to ensure that students are motivated and interested by their studies here at the Academy.

Science staff are supported by our own team of technicians and administrative staff.
