Achievement Support has a clear cross-Academy role which focuses on promoting the inclusion of learners at Thomas Deacon Academy. Aspects which we lead on include:

• Ensuring the welfare of students with learning difficulties & disabilities
• Overviewing the progress & wellbeing of those identified as Gifted/Talented
• Fostering links with external partners and specialists
• Providing support for exceptional students
• Overviewing those identified as having English as an additional language
• Monitoring the welfare & progress of Looked After Children
• Ensuring the safeguarding of all young people through coordination of our Child Protection practices
